Life Messenger

Life Messenger-Kelly McCrae

I remember my meeting with Kelly like it was yesterday…one of the most impactful sessions that was never booked, but totally meant to be!

We’ve all been there.

Some with stories harder to know and hear than others.

Some with stories that lead us to say, ‘I don’t think I have a life message.’

Kelly said just this to me when our paths crossed unexpectedly.

After dozens of life messengers had visited me at my studio when life messages™ first started, none of them had said— I don’t have a life message to me.

I was taken aback.

I invited her to come and look at some of the messages people had written that I had posted on my foyer wall. I felt compelled to convince her that she had a life message.

Her response after viewing several messages was essentially that if one more person told her that everything happens for a reason etc., she might lose it.

Kelly divulged the significant losses she had recently faced.

It made me worry for her. I asked her, ‘can you take time for you?’

She said, ‘if I stop, my kids will stop and I can’t have that.’

As a mother, I totally understood that.

We went upstairs and she looked around at other life messages™ and photos and she said, ‘I still don’t know what my message would be’..and with tears in her eyes she said, ‘ all I know is that I have to keep moving.’ I exclaimed, Kelly, that IS your message! Keep moving! Please write it down and let me take your picture.

And so she did. And so I did.

I told her I’d send her that image so that she could always be reminded of what keeps her going and what she felt she needed to do in this life.

I hung her life message black paper at the bottom of the loft stairs so that it was the first one I read every time I entered the space or walked downstairs.

It gave me strength. It gave me courage. It still does today.

I have shared this message with many when times are rough and I remind myself of it when I need it too.

I remember my meeting with Kelly like it was yesterday…one of the most impactful sessions that was never booked, but totally meant to be!

I am ever so grateful to her for sharing her story and her raw emotions with me.

When we share our stories, we learn, gain compassion, empathize and become bonded with others.

Such a gift.

Can you relate to Kelly’s message?

We all have a story, we all have a voice…share yours.
